IT Training Module Assignment
The Amelia Gorgas library’s interface for its online interlibrary loan service is convenient and easy to use, but same students may never use it because they either do not know how to access it or think it will be more difficult than it is. The purpose of this training module is to teach new undergraduate students of the University of Alabama to make full use of this electronic resource. By the end of this training module learners will be able to accomplish these following tasks 1. They will be able to locate and access the Amelia Gorgas library’s interlibrary loan service electronically through the libraries website. 2. They will be able to locate the rules and regulations connected with this service. The will be able to electronically make requests for books and other materials. 3. They will become acquainted with all the various options the interlibrary loan service has to offer and know how to use them. 4. They will know how to keep track of their request. 5. And finally they will know where and how to return the material.
The technology and software necessary to use the interlibrary loans online interface is minimal. All that is needed is access to a computer, the internet and the Amelia Gorgas Library’s website. The learning theory that will be used for the training module will appeal to visual learners who like to see each step of the process they are learning.
