Intro Post

When I graduate I would like to work in library collection development and so this blog will focus on the subject of collection development, especially for children’s and Young Adults. I will try to write about the nature of collection development, and find online collection development resources. I would also like to try creating collection development/readers advisory lists. For these lists I will imagine there is a library whose patrons are interested in materials that cover a certain topic, genre or theme. Then I will try to create a list of potential titles that fits this demand. I hope that this will be a fun way to challenge my skills as would be collection developer
